To preserve the Historic Dockyard at Portsmouth so that it may be enjoyed by the public for generations to come. To restore, maintain and find appropriate new uses for buildings of outstanding historic and architectural interest in the Dockyard.
Objects: 1. The Preservation Of Buildings, Structures, Vessels, Docks And Berths Of National Interest Or Architectural Or Historic Interest Or Historically Associated With Her Majesty's Naval Base At Portsmouth And The Protection And Augmentation Of The Amenities Of Such Buildings, Structures, Vessels, Docks And Berths And Their Surroundings (hereinafter Called The 'naval Base Buildings' For The Public Benefit Including For The Advancement Of Culture:2. The Access To And Enjoyment Of The Naval Base Buildings By The Public For The Purposes Of Education In Naval History And Other Matters Related To The Defence Of The Realm.
