The Tayside Woodland Partnerships (TWP) was formed in October 2021 with the objective of establishing and maintaining woodlands in Tayside for habitat restoration and sequestering carbon as a contribution to the Scottish Government’s target to achieve zero net emissions, and to play a part in addressing the climate and nature emergency. We are currently in the process of establishing tree nursery to provide local, native tree for planting. We have planted trees in 4 sites over the last year, Tradecoaters (where the tree nursery is being established on private land), Blackhaugh community farm, Blackspout Wood (owned by PKC) and Delta Park (owned by PKC). We have planted around 600 trees this year.

Objectives: The organisation's purpose is: The advancement of environmental protection and improvement by: establishing and managing new woodlands acquiring and, in partnerships, managing established woodlands in Tayside in. connecting with other groups, communities and landowners across Tayside and beyond to form a network in which each can give and receive support, information, advice and collective strength from each other.
