Scottish Cycling Foundation – changing lives through cycling. Removing barriers so all Scots can reach their potential – whether it’s through improved physical and mental health, growing opportunities for cycling or supporting young talent to progress from grassroots in the sport of cycling. The SCF awards grants to Braveheart cyclists and other small grants, and partners with Scottish Cycling and other bodies to deliver health and trail fund projects.

Objectives: 4.1 The organisation's purposes are 4.1.1 the advancement for the benefit of the public of public participation in cycling as a sport by undertaking a range of activities, including: 4.1.1.1 providing opportunities for more people to participate in cycling activities. 4.1.1.2 providing support in the relief of those in need because of age, gender, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages in order to encourage or facilitate their participation in cycling and related activities. 4.1.1.3 improving the physical and mental health of the public through the provision of innovative, sustainable and targeted programmes aimed at those who would benefit most from cycling, mountain biking and related activities. 4.1.1.4 promoting and encouraging individuals towards accreditation and education in respect of cycling-related activities, including, but not limited to, coaching, leadership, trail building, trail stewardship and the role of competition officials. 4.1.1.5 advancing public education, learning and development opportunities for leadership in the sport of cycling, including, but not limited to, providing education, learning and development opportunities for athletes, coaches, support personnel, cycling clubs, cycling club volunteers, commissaires, trail builders and trails associations. and 4.1.1.6 supporting projects and initiatives delivered in partnership with Scottish Cycling and in conjunction with national strategies for the sport of cycling. 4.1.2 the provision of recreational cycling facilities, or the organisation of recreational cycling activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended, including, but not limited to, supporting the improvement and development of cycling facilities designed to enhance and support cycling as a sport. and 4.1.3 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement, including, but not limited to, supporting the improvement and development of cycling facilities designed to enhance and support cycling as a sport while enhancing and protecting the natural environment in which such facilities are situated
