The charity is set up to provide a forum for mutual support, development and representation of the community broadcasting sector in the Highlands & Islands of Scotland.

Objectives: The objects for which the Trust is established shall be the education of the public. the relief of poverty and the support of the arts and indigenous culture of the Highlands and lslands of Scotland and its environs all by supporting and enhancing the use, scope and facilities of community radio in the operating area and in particular by:- ' Encouraging the provision of community broadcasting services for the benefit of the public within the Highlands and lslands of Scotland. ' Encouraging the participation in training in radio and multimedia technology and production skills. ' Providing advice and assistance with regard to the establishment and operation of organisations with charitable purposes which are established for the promotion of community broadcasting services for the benefit of the public in the Highlands and lslands of Scotland. ' Supporting the development and provision of appropriate training opportunities for volunteers involved in community radio in the Highlands and lslands of Scotland.
