Our charitable purpose is environmental conservation of wild sh, their habitats and associated ora and fauna in Wester Ross. We also have a remit for environmental education. We undertake biological monitoring and survey work to provide factual information on such things as fish health and counts, other fauna and flora, and environmental factors. These are reported for use by others to inform decision making, with the aim of developing science-based solutions to fisheries problems. Monitoring work includes collection using nets, electro-fishing and other recognised sampling techniques from coastal waters, fresh waters and riparian habitats. We do an element of practical research and conservation work such as vegetation planting, removal of invasive species, restoration, nutrient additions and the like. Our educational activities include running seminars, workshops and teaching, open to all interested parties. plus environmental activities with schools groups
