Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Community Association is set up to operate the running and administration of Bridgend Community Centre on behalf of North Ayrshire Council to provide a warm welcoming space for the local community to come to socialise, learn new skills and hobbies and all other activities that promote inclusion and good physical and mental well being.

Objectives: (a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood without distinction, of sex or political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and for leisure time occupation (b) To co-operate with the local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of a Community Centre where this exists for activities promoted by the Association in furtherance of the above objects (c) To foster a community spirit for the achievement of these and other such objects as may by law be deemed to be charitable
