The object of the Association shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort a) To maintain, improve or provide amenities for the improvement of the physical environment; b) To advance education; c) To relieve poverty; d) To provide and assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of the social welfare for the recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of the life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit; e) To promote all or any objects for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit which now and hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable.
