Objectives and Activities
The object of Edgarstown Residents Association (ERA) shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the area without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinions, by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to:

maintain, improve or provide amenities for the improvement of the physical environment

advance education

relieve poverty
-
provide and assist in the provision of the facilities in the interests of the social welfare for the recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the objective of improving the conditions of the life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit

promote all or any objects for the benefit of the inhabitants of the area of benefit which now and hereafter may be deemed by law to be charitable

Achievements and Performance
The Community House, staff and volunteers are busy 6 days/ nights per week delivering various programmes. In addition, communication continues with the statutory agencies to make Edgarstown a better place to live.
The PYDP project secured funding of £134,178.00 from IFI in June 2021, which is being invested in the area to engage with 15 young people aged 16-25 years from 6 PUL housing estates over the next 2 years.
We are delighted to have been successful in securing funds from the Education Authority this year to support the weekly afterschool’s and drop in provision.
Financial Review
Fuding has increased this year from £140’488.06 to £148’230.92 This includes funding secured from Housing Executive, IFI, ACBCBC, Education Authority, Asset Recovery Community Scheme and Verve. Payments have also increased from £105’499.28 to £130’185.87. Other than cash held in hand or at bank, this charity has no other assets or liabilities.
