Activities
The Charity runs a Museum; which cares for a permanent collection of artefacts and archives. The Museum exhibits objects for the education and enjoyment of the Armed Forces Community and also the wider public. The Museum provides a research service and makes information available to a wider audience via its website.
Objects: The objects of the Museum are: 3.1 To inform and inspire members of the Armed Forces with the heritage and practice of Faith in the Forces, centred on the traditions and deeds of the Royal Army Chaplains’ Department, thus promoting the efficiency of the Armed Forces. 3.2 To advance education, including by the following means: 3.2.1 establishing and maintaining a Museum for the benefit of the public, or exhibiting the Collection in such other public spaces as the charity trustees may from time to time decide;3.2.2 increasing public understanding of the role of religion and belief in military life by maintaining public visitor access to the Museum or Collection, and by supporting the work of students and researchers;3.2.3 restoring, preserving, cataloguing, and interpreting the Collection and archives, acquiring significant artefacts as opportunities arise, and holding the Collection in perpetuity for future generations.
