NHP takes a ground-breaking approach through its commitment to young people's ownership, enabling young people leaving care to achieve connected and fulfilling lives. Codesigned with young people, the groupwork approach is psychologically informed and relational and young people gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a house their home and live interdependently in their community.

Objects: 3.1 The Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Benefit Of The Public:3.1.1 The Advancement In Life And Relief Of The Charitable Needs Of Young People Who Have Been In, Or Otherwise Experienced, The Public Care System Including (But Without Limitation) By:(a) The Provision Of Independent Housing Solutions Within A Safe And Supportive Environment In Order To Promote Independent Living; And(b) The Provision Of Support, Training And Personal Development Opportunities;3.1.2 The Promotion Of Social Inclusion In Particular (But Not Limited To) Among Individuals Who Are Socially Excluded From Society, Or Part Of Society, As A Result Of Their Social Position, In Particular (But Without Limitation) Through The Provision Of Opportunities To Live Independently Of The Public Care System And The Provision Of Support And Training Not Otherwise Available To Them By Virtue Of Their Social Exclusion.3.2 For The Purpose Of This Article 3 The Following Expressions Have The Following Meanings:3.2.1 "Socially Excluded" Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Parts Of Society, As A Result Of Being Within, Or Otherwise Having Experienced, The Public Care System; And 3.2.2 "Independent Housing Solutions" Relates To The Different Ways In Which Housing Can Be Provided To Young People Leaving Care Offering Such Young People The Security, Consistency And Stability Required For Them To Live Independently Of The Public Care System.
