3 OBJECTS The objects for which the Region is established are to save lives and prevent drowning and to provide education and training in all areas relating to lifesaving, rescue and resuscitation for the benefit of the public mainly in the county of Devon but when required in other areas by:

Objects: 3.1. Coordinating The Activities Of Surf Life Saving Clubs In Devon, Their Members And Surf Life Saving Great Britain;3.2. Engaging In Search And Rescue Activities Mainly In The County Of Devon But Also In The Rest Of The United Kingdom If Requested By An Appropriate Authority;3.3. Providing Education In All Areas Relating To, Lifesaving, Search And Rescue And Resuscitation For The Benefit Of The Public;3.4. Providing Support For And Maintenance Of A Network Of Affiliated Clubs With Similar Objects In Devon;3.5. Promoting And Organising Beach And Pool Training, Water Sports, Beach Sports, Lifesaving And Search And Rescue Activities For Training, Recreation And Enjoyment That Encourage Fitness, Team Work, Responsibility And Excellence In Pursuit Of These Objects;3.6. Promoting Voluntary Lifesaving Search And Rescue Services To The Community And Public At Large.
