To promote the conservation, protection and enhancement of the physical and natural environment and support the social and economic well-being of local communities within the Cornwall National Landscape (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - AONB) and advance education and understanding of the protected landscape.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are; 1)To Promote The Conservation, Protection And Enhancement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Including But Not Limited To Agriculture, Forestry And Other Rural Enterprises And Support The Social And Economic Well- Being Of Local Communities Within The Cornwall Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty(aonb); And2)to Advance Education In And Around The Cornwall Aonb Of The Natural Beauty Of The Landscape, Its Flora And Fauna And Its Historic And Cultural Features For The Benefit Of The Public. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With [Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment(scotland)act2005] And [Section 2 Of The Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].
