Trustee selection methods[The Constitution of the Cornwall AONB Trust was amended in July 2018 –] Clause 9 (3) ‘To increase the number of appointed trustees from 4 to a maximum of 8’. At a General Meeting of the Trustees held on the 18[th] July 2018, the Trustees, having carried out a skills audit, agreed to appoint additional trustees to increase the skills capacity of the Board of Trustees. The Governing Document has been amended accordingly to state that there can be six appointed trustees and two nominated trustees.

The Cornwall AONB Trust has five trustees consisting of three independent appointed trustees and two nominated ex-officio trustees. The Charity remains entirely independent from the Cornwall National Landscape (AONB) Partnership in its daily activities.

The Cornwall AONB Trust was first registered with the Charity Commission in April 2017. Trustees meet monthly to review the work of the Trust and to ensure it remains focussed in its aims and objectives. The Trust will continue to support a variety of community activities for the benefit of the public. The Trust is committed to supporting a wide range of initiatives through the Environment Landscape Fund by offering grants of up to £500 which help facilitate projects which fall within the Cornwall National Landscape (AONB) Management Plan, 2022 - 2027. |

| The Trust was largely rebuilding activity during this fiscal year due to the ongoing effects of the Covid 19 lockdown on the charitable sector. However, some activity was undertaken with a view to restoring the usual activities. The net surplus recorded for this financial period was directly applied to facilitate the Trust’s Environment Landscape Fund. Applications for grant funding are received at regular intervals to support a range of projects in line with the purposes of the Trust. |

| The principal funding source for this period was Cornwall Council although a few small donations were also received. In accordance with the aims and objectives of the Trust, project support was granted to support projects through the Trust’s Environment Landscape Fund. The Trust intends to increase project funding in accordance with the Cornwall AONB Management Plan 2022 – 2027 in the upcoming year. Likewise, the Trust’s objectives are to increase fundraising through donations and registering for Gift Aid with HMRC. |
