Section D Achievements and performance The Cornwall AONB Trust was first registered with the Charity Summary of the main Commission in April 2017. achievements of the charity during the year Trustees meet monthly to review the work of the Trust and to ensure it remains focussed in its aims and objectives. The Trust will continue to support a variety of community activities for the benefit of the public. The Trust is committed to supporting a wide range of initiatives through the Environment Landscape Fund by offering grants of up to £500 which help facilitate projects which fall within the AONB Management Plan, 2022 - 2027.
Section E Financial review In emerging from the Covid 19 lockdown period, during which the Trust Brief statement of the was largely dormant, the Trust activities during this fiscal year have been charity’s policy on reserves limited although some fundraising activities have now again been undertaken although some activity was undertaken with a view to restoring usual activities in accordance with stated objectives. The Trust expects to continue expanding and improving fundraising implementing new programmes with the recruitment of new Trustees. The months of February and March 2021 have been included in this reporting as they were previously accidentally omitted. The previous filing should have been for Y/E 1 April 2021 but was only calculated through 31 January 2021. The extent of this oversight on our Financial Statements for this two month period is exactly £7,000 donation from Cornwall Council and £10 in Bank Charges. We have included these amounts in our current CC16a Form submitted with this report. The cause of this oversight was that the Trust did not have a Treasurer Trustee during this time. A Treasurer Trustee was appointed in July 2022 who will compile these documents going forward during the term of their appointment. The net surplus recorded for this financial period was directly applied to facilitate the Trust’s Environment Landscape Fund. Applications for grant funding are received at regular intervals to support a range of projects in line with the stated purposes of the Trust.
