Support for refugees and asylum seekers in Wales - and specifically in the Newport (South Wales) area. Education on issues relating to human trafficking.

Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:1. To Relieve The Needs Of Those Granted Refugee Status And Those Seeking Asylum And Their Dependents Living (Temporarily Or Permanently) In Newport, South Wales And The Surrounding Area In Particular But Not Exclusively By: A. The Relief Of Their Financial Hardship; B. The Preservation And Protection Of Their Physical And Mental Health; C. The Advancement Of Their Education And Training So As To Advance Them In Life And Assist Them To Adapt Within A New Community; D. The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life Of Those Persons Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances; E. The Relief Of Their Unemployment By The Provision Of Vocational And Skills Training, Advice And Support; F. The Advancement Of The Education Of The Public In General About The Issues Relating To Refugees And Those Seeking Asylum.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public In General On The Subject Of Human Trafficking3. To Further Or Benefit The Residents Of Baneswell, Newport And The Neighbourhood, Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By Associating Together The Said Residents And The Local Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance Education And To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Objective Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Residents.in Furtherance Of These Objects But Not Otherwise, The Trustees Shall Have Power:to Establish Or Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre And To Maintain Or Manage Or Co-Operate With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Charity In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.4. To Promote Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Trustees May From Time To Time Determine.
