Activities
The charity's principle aim is to support and/or improve the quality of life of Barnsley's older population. In carrying out this objective the charity provides support and services, in particular for older people who are disadvantaged through ill health, disability, social exclusion or poverty. The charity also raises awareness of later life issues, influences local provision and campaigns.
Objects: The Objects For Which The Charity (The "Objects") Is Established And To Which IT Is Specifically Restricted Are To Promote The Following Purposes For The Benefit Of The Public And/or Older People In And Around The Metropolitan Borough Of Barnsley, South Yorkshire ("The Area Of Benefit"):-1) Preventing Or Relieving The Poverty Of Older People2) Advancing Education3) Preventing Or Relieving Sickness, Disease Or Suffering In Older People (Whether Emotional, Mental Or Physical)4) Promoting Equality And Diversity5) Assisting Older People In Need By Reason Of Ill-Health, Disability, Financial Hardship, Social Exclusion Or Other Disadvantage; And6) Such Other Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of Older People As The Trustees May From Time To Time Decidethe Outcome Of This Being The Promotion Of The Well-Being Of Older People
