Activities

Refugee Women Connect, previously known as MRANG, is set up to support women asylum-seekers, refugees and survivors of trafficking. We run an extensive outreach programme with weekly drop-ins where women can access a range of emotional and practical support and activities. We run an additional support group for perinatal women and a self-esteem support group. We also offer one-to-one casework.

Objects: 1. To Relieve Poverty, Sickness And Distress Amongst Pre And Post-Natal Asylum Seekers And Refugees And Their Families, Particularly But Not Exclusively By The Provision Of Advice, Representation, Advocacy And Other Such Services As The Group Shall From Time To Time Decide.2. To Advance The Education Of The Public, Other Statutory And Voluntary Organisations And Asylum Seekers In Order To Assist Their Inclusion Into The Wider Community.3. To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Educational, Recreational And Support Facilities For Pre And Post-Natal Asylum Seekers And Refugees And Their Families.
