Activities
Imkaan is a UK-based, black feminist organisation dedicated to addressing violence against women and girls. As a second-tier, human rights organisation, with national membership, Imkaan represents the expertise and perspectives of front-line specialist women's services that work to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls.
Objects: The Charity's Objects Are The Relief Of Need Of Asian And Other Women And Children Who Have Experienced Domestic Violence In Particular:(a) To Undertake Research And Consultative Processes Relevant To The Needs Of Asian And Other Women Who Have Experienced Domestic Violence And Disseminate The Results Of This Research Primarily To Policy Makers;(b) To Provide Training To People Working With Asian And Other Women And Children Who Have Experienced Domestic Violence;(c) To Provide Services To Support The Needs Of Asian And Other Women And Children Who Have Experienced Domestic Violence.
