Promote public health and advance public medical education by: Improving knowledge of viruses, especially diagnosis and management of viral diseases, pathogenesis, natural history and prevention; Improving diagnostic methods; Promoting high standards in laboratory viral diagnosis through quality assessment activities, education and development of reference standards.
Objects: The Charity's Objects Are To Promote Public Health And To Advance Public Education, In Particular Medical Education, By:(1) Improving The Knowledge Of Viruses, Particularly As IT Relates To The Diagnosis And Management Of Viral Diseases, Their Pathogenesis, Natural History And Prevention;(2) Improving Diagnostic Methods;(3) Promoting High Standards In Laboratory Viral Diagnosis Through Quality Assessment Activities And Education; And(4) Promoting Or Developing Preparation And Exchange Of Reference Reagents.
