Activities

The furtherance of the Christian faith through the running of local churches in and around the East Midlands and the Mediterranean. This includes social enterprise projects, such as Community Grocers, to serve our local communities.

Objects: The Objects Of The Charity Are, For The Public Benefit, To:(a) Advance The Christian Faith In Accordance With The Statement Of Beliefs Appearing In The Schedule;(b) Relieve Persons Who Are In Conditions Of Need Or Hardship Or Who Are Aged Or Sick And To Relieve The Distress Caused Thereby;(c) Promote Social Inclusion By Preventing People From Becoming Socially Excluded, Relieving The Needs Of Those People Who Are Socially Excluded And Assisting Them To Integrate Into Society (And For The Purpose Of This Clause “Socially Excluded” Means Being Excluded From Society, Or Part Of Society, As A Result Of Being A Member Of A Socially And/or Economically Deprived Community);(d) Advance Education By Such Means As The Trustees May Consider Appropriate Including, Without Limitation, The Provision Of Life Skills Training For Refugees And Others, And Partnering With Other Educational Providers To Host Their Distance Learning Facilities;(e) Promote And Fulfil Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Trustees May From Time To Time Think Fit,in Each Case (I) Directly And/or In Partnership With Other People And Organisations With Similar Aims; (Ii) In Such Parts Of The United Kingdom Or The World As The Trustees May From Time To Time Think Fit; And (Iii) In A Manner That Shall Be Consistent With The Doctrinal Distinctives And Ethical Statements As May Be Adopted And Amended By The Charity From Time To Time.the Trustees Shall Not Do Anything, Or Authorise Anything To Be Done, In Furtherance Of The Charitable Purposes Set Out In Articles 2.1(B), (C), (D) And (E) Above That Would Conflict With The Charitable Purpose Set Out In Article 2.1(A) Above.
