We work to strengthen;- the voice,rights and status of children,young people and adults with a learning disability- the ability of parents, carers and families to make a positive contribution- promote a range of person centred services for children and adults - ensure LDW sets a good example in the way it is runThrough our services we provide direct support to children and adults.
Objects: A) The Relief Of Persons With Learning Disabilities In Wales, In Particular Through The Provision Of Services And Facilities Including Participation In The Arts To Enable The Said Persons To Achieve Their Full Potential As Part Of Society And To Increase The Choices Open To People With Learning Disabilities And The Control They Have Over Their Own Lives;b) The Advancement Of Education Amongst The Public, In Particular But Not Exclusively Among Voluntary Organisations And Other Service Providers, The Carers And For Families Of People With Learning Disabilities As To The Needs Experiences And Aspirations And Wishes Of People With Learning Disabilities.
