Objectives: 1. The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: To advance hybridity in the Arts by designing and delivering programs for local and international artists developing work for the Edinburgh Festivals. In this constitution, ‘hybridity’ is defined as ‘a mode of live art that integrates in-person and digitally networked elements so that audiences and collaborators share a performance experience across physical and virtual spaces simultaneously.’. This is done by providing programming on streaming, extended reality technologies, online identity and data management, digital licensing, archiving, artificial intelligence tools, networked performances, hybrid touring models, and future ways of making hybrid artwork. To advance sustainability in the Arts by designing and delivering programs for local and international artists developing work for the Edinburgh Festivals. In this constitution, ‘sustainable development’ is defined as ‘development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.’ This is done by providing programming on sustainable touring, ecoscenography and sustainable design, advantages of vegan and plant-based choices, community engagement, artist wellness, waste management, climate action, health and safety best practices, impact assessment and future ways of making sustainable artwork. To advance accessibility in the Arts by designing and delivering programs for local and international artists developing work for the Edinburgh Festivals. In this constitution, ‘accessible’ is defined as ‘practice of designing and presenting cultural experiences so that people of all abilities, identities, and circumstances can fully participate as audiences, artists, and collaborators.’. This is done by providing programming on venue/site design and management, online programming, accessible technologies, public relations and marketing, inclusive interpretation, relaxed (reduced sensory overload) and neurodivergent adapted presentations, and future ways of making accessible artwork. 2. The area within which the organisation shall operate (in this constitution referred to as the ‘Area of Benefit’) shall be predominantly within Scotland, with activity taking place in other countries where there are activities and/or networks that will benefit Scotland through research, knowledge exchange and best practice.
