Eskmuthe Rowing Club was established to build, row and race St Ayles skiffs from its base at Fisherrow Harbour - as part of the growing coastal rowing community across Scotland and beyond. Eskmuthe members, and their boats, have travelled all across Scotland, to the north of England and the Netherlands on its rowing adventures. Everyone is welcome to come and try rowing with our friendly community club.

Objectives: The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To participate in the sport of rowing bringing together diverse members of the community in a local project in which people of different backgrounds can work, socialise and exercise together revitalising the use of the coastal waters and on occasion coming together with other such communities in races, regattas or other organised events. 4.2 To participate in the building and maintenance of a boat/boats to be used for such activities and facilitate all relevant training for the boat builders/users. 4.3 To build, purchase, rent or borrow premises to enable the above. 4.4 To purchase and maintain tools and equipment to support paragraphs 4.1 to 4.3. 4.5 To promote and maintain the highest standards of technical competence/safety and uphold the rules of the sport. 4.6 To promote participation in rowing, encouraging health and well-being, skills development and inclusion, providing opportunities for all members of the community. and 4.7 To further the interest of the nautical heritage of Musselburgh and Fisherrow and other coastal communities.
