Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: The organisation’s purpose is the advancement of public participation in sport by: 4.1 Participating in coastal rowing under the auspices of the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association. 4.2 Promoting coastal rowing as an activity which improves physical health and mental wellbeing through physical activity, social interaction, being on the water and close to nature. Adjusting activities to suit individual competence, experience and state of fitness makes this safe for adults of all ages and for juniors. 4.3 Ensuring good practice at sea and on land by providing opportunities to develop a range of skills, including seamanship, building boats, event organisation and fundraising. Sharing of skills within the membership through training and mentoring will be encouraged. 4.4 Encouraging participation in the build and maintenance of the boats and the equipment and in all associated activities of the club, so that the membership has a sense of community ownership and responsibility, thereby ensuring long term continuation of the project. 4.5 Stimulating healthy competition and create connections with other rowing communities by attending regattas and social events organised by other clubs. 4.6 Promoting an organisation with community spirit where social interaction, inclusion and teamwork are as important as the sport of rowing. 4.7 Embedding the organisation within the local community, engaging with all sectors of the population, contributing to local activities and drawing on the heritage of the area.
