This commemorative event was attended by several members of the Association along with members of the 1715 and a party of school children and their teachers from the local primary school. This was to add to their project on Local History and it is hoped that this will be a regular occurrence.
During the year our Cairns, Memorials and Plaques have been kept in good order and regularly inspected.
As an amateur society, the people who give their time, energy, historical knowledge and technical assistance, do so solely for their interest in the subject rather than financial reward. At the annual Gathering and other events, we enjoy each other’s company and friendship. Long may this continue.
