Helensburgh Community Hall Ltd, (known as Helensburgh Community Hub) purchased the hall at 113 East Princes Street in Helensburgh in 2020, to run it as a community facility. The Hub has a hall which is available to hire by any community groups. We have a suite of offices which are leased by other third sector organisations and we operate a second hand book shop selling donated books As well as managing the facilities we run our own programmes which are currently a) promoting reading for pleasure which includes a local program of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and an annual book festival run jointly with other local charities b) encouraging and valuing volunteering including an annual volunteer thanking event. ~And c) we have recently begun to engage with community resilience initiatives We have a very hands on group of Trustees, a paid development manager and an army of volunteers.

Objectives: PURPOSES The company's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The company's purposes are: - the advancement of education - the relief of those in need by reason age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage - the advancement of citizenship and of community development, the promotion of civic responsibility, volunteering, the voluntary sector and the effectiveness and efficiency of third sector organisations including social enterprises.
