We provide information, advice and support to unpaid carers in Helensburgh & Lomond. We have a contract from Argyll & Bute Integration Joint Board for the delivery of services to carers in line with the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. We support young and adult carers by making as assessment of their needs and personal outcomes, using an adult carers support plan or young carers statement, and if these meet the threshold of the Argyll & Bute Eligibility Criteria, we will pass the assessment to Social Work Staff who will consider providing a support package. The majority of carers do not meet that criteria, but we will offer them a range of preventative services, including information about their rights and entitlements, counselling, holistic therapies, legal advice, advocacy, addressing financial problems, and fuel poverty, participation in specific support groups, a wide range of activities and events for both adult and young carers to give them a break from their caring roles.

Objectives: The objects of the charity are to promote, for the benefit of carers (as defined in Clause 6): (a) the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by providing information, advice and support services within the area defined in Clause 4.
