We promote good practise in the care and treatment of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. additional support needs, caregivers and advocate for the equality, diversity and human rights of those people we support. We specialise in understanding behaviour as communication, and promote the use of the communication passport. In recent years we have campaigned for Calums Law which is calling on Scottish Government to introduce statutory guidance for schools on the use of restraint and seclusion, provide training for staff and make sure all incidents of restraint and seclusion are recorded and monitored. Calums Law was passed in Scottish Parliament in March 2026

Beneficiaries: 'People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: 4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of Education by promoting training and best practice in Positive Behaviour Support approaches within the care and education of children and adults with learning disabilities and/or ASN 4.2 The advancement of human rights and promotion of equality by increasing awareness, support, campaigning and advocacy in positive behaviour support to those families and professionals involved in the care and education of children and adults with learning disabilities and/or ASN. 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of disability or ill-health by promoting sustainable good practice in the care and treatment of people with learning disabilities, additional support needs and caregivers, sharing and developing resources to enhance positive behaviour support, and collaborating with other bodies to promote and enhance their quality of life. 4.4 To advocate for the equality, diversity and human rights of people with learning disabilities, additional support needs and their families/caregivers.
