'the advancement of health'

The charity was originally set up to help eliminate common causes of curable blindness globally, namely cataract and corneal blindness, and to support other causes of curable and treatable blindness. Since 2020 and the restrictions surrounding the Covid pandemic, the focus of the charity was shifted to helping vulnerable people within the local community. With nominations from local optometry practices, successful candidates are selected for funded cataract treatment who would otherwise be increasingly struggling with their day to day activities whilst waiting on NHS treatment. We have now successfully carried out campaigns in 2022, 2023, 2024 and we are currently in the process of a new campaign for 2025.
