APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period The Charity successfully organised the annual Helminth Conference from 1-6 September 2024. The Conference was attended by nearly 100 researchers from the UK, Europe (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Switzerland), Africa (Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Uganda), Asia and Australasia (Australia, Bangladesh, China and Israel), and the Americas (Canada, Uruguay and the USA), with a preponderance of younger scientists and students entering the field. Five delegates (from Cameroon, Ethiopia, India and Nigeria) were awarded travel bursaries to allow them to participate in the Conference. The advances in helminth parasitology were presented and discussed, in furtherance of the Charity's aims. The Conference included ample provision for ne￿OrkIng be￿een researchers from different parts of the globe, underpinning new scientific collaborations and enabling partnerships belmeen experts from drfferent countries.
