We promote international scientific research in the area of parasite infection with emphasis on tropical diseases, and facilitate participation by scientists from low-income countries.

Objectives: 4.1 To advance the science of helminth parasitology and the treatment of the diseases caused by helminth parasites, by promoting international collaboration and dissemination of information. 4.2 To advance scientific research into helminth parasitology by convening conferences, promoting interaction and information exchange between academics, medical professionals and students from different countries of the world, and enabling participation of young scientists from lower-income countries endemic for parasitic diseases 4.3 To act as a catalyst to advance public understanding and education in helminth parasitology through publications from conferences and provision of on-line resources for students, the media and the general public
