Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of Our membership continues to grow, , sitting at over 100
the charity during the financial period members. We have been successful with funding applications and have received support from the Co-op Community Fund, Vegware Community Fund, The Robertson Trust, The Hyman Robertson Foundation and Charities Aid Foundation. The introduction of "Happy Feet" - a nail-cutting service provided by volunteer retired podiatrists for the local community, at a very affordable price compared to the expensive prices of chiropodists - was established at the end of last financial year by a working party including community links workers, community involvement officer and 2 local housing associations. They approached Men's Shed Govan to ask if we could host the service and it has gone from strength to strength and has been busy since its launch. Community members are delighted with the service and enjoy the fact that its at Men's Shed Govan - providing more interaction with the community and opportunities for more community support. Thai chi and Chair yoga classes, are now free to non-members to encourage more participation to those who are less likely to afford or access these activities. They continue to prosper. We provide to South West food bank through 2 weekly donations, and fresh produce in the growing season. We donated raised beds to Meikleriggs Nursery and provided a memorial bench for Aberlour Children's Charity 150 years anniversary. We continue to do work for Ronald MacDonald House, Horacio's garden and Johnstone Early Learning Centre. We continue to donate Easter and Christmas presents to the Young Carers group - who are very grateful for our
