The Charity was set up to receive and distribute funds for the village of Altnaharra and surrounding areas in order to improve education, the environment and by developing neglected buildings and infrastructure for the benefit of residents and visitors to the area through an annual community benefit agreement with the local wind farm.

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are: (a) the advancement of education for residents within the area of benefit. (b) the advancement of community development for residents within the area of benefit. (c ) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement within the area of benefit and. (d) the distribution of any surplus funds held by the organisation for any of the preceding purposes within the area of benefit and Scotland generally.
