Activities
'It makes grants, donations or gifts to organisations'
'the prevention or relief of poverty','the advancement of education','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'
The aim of Lisa's Gift is to ensure that no child within the Renfrewshire Area of school age is ever forced to miss out on any aspect of school life whether main stream or extra curricular as a result of difficult family circumstances. To this end we liaise with teachers in schools to identify those pupils who require a financial contribution from the charity. This might enable them to go on a school trip, acquire appropriate school clothing or P.E. kit or enjoy a decent breakfast prior to starting lessons. These are just some examples of the myriad ways in which we have been asked to offer monetary assistance.
Objectives: 4.1 The prevention of poverty 4.2 The advancement of education 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage Achieved by: Liaising with Head teachers within the Renfrewshire area from both the Primary and Secondary sector to identify a child or children who would benefit from financial assistance to enable them to participate in curricular or extra-curricular activities, the purpose of which will be to enrich the learning and personal development of the pupil or pupils.
