The advancement of citizenship and community development through the establishment and operation of the Grimsay Centre in North Uist for the benefit of the local community and others. The advancement of the arts, heritage and culture in relation to local history of Grimsay and the Hebrides and the promotion of the Gaelic culture. The advancement of environmental improvement through the reduction of Grimsay's carbon footprint by the development of a local food and growing programme and by the local provision of social and cultural events and lifeline services. The provision of the Grimsay Centre as a facility where recreational activities can be carried out, with the purpose of improving the conditions of life for the persons within the local community for whom the activities are primarily intended. and The advancement of education through instruction in music, the arts, food growing and the provision of other cultural and practical activities.

Objectives: 4.1 The advancement of citizenship and community development through the establishment and operation of the Grimsay Centre in North Uist for the benefit of the local community and others. 4.2 The advancement of the arts, heritage and culture in relation to local history of Grimsay and the Hebrides and the promotion of the Gaelic culture. 4.3 The advancement of environmental improvement through the reduction of Grimsay's carbon footprint by the development of a local food and growing programme and by the local provision of social and cultural events and lifeline services. 4.4 The provision of the Grimsay Centre as a facility where recreational activities can be carried out, with the purpose of improving the conditions of life for the persons within the local community for whom the activities are primarily intended. and 4.5 The advancement of education through instruction in music, the arts, food growing and the provision of other cultural and practical activities, and by creating and publishing booklets, catalogues, CDs and Web media in local culture, history and technology.
