The Grimsay Boatshed, located at Kallin Harbour, was established in 2001 to ensure the survival of the Stewart boatbuilding skills and to maintain the local fishing fleet.
Objectives: To advance education of the general public in the maritime skills and traditions of the Vists and Western Scotland by spreading knowledge and understanding of the historical, social and economic significance to this area and in pursuit for this to promote and aid such purposes as are exclusively charitable in law.
