Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

We maintain the old North Kessock Pier to keep it open and available as a free facility for launching and retrieving boats. Volunteers clean and paint the pier regularly to ensure safety of boat users. As well as general users, it is also used by the North Kessock Rowing Club to launch their skiff. Other groups making use of it include the organisers of the annual Kessock Swim. The general public also use it as a spot from which to enjoy the view and possibly see dolphins and other wildlife.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: The organisation?s purposes are: To purchase, repair, upgrade, manage and maintain the redundant ferry slipway at North Kessock as a heritable community run amenity, providing leisure facilities which will be made available to members and the wider community. This will in turn improve the conditions of people?s life?s in the community and of persons using the facility.
