To provide recreational facilities or assist in the provision of facilities for the inhabitants of Dalbeattie and its environs, in the interests of social welfare, for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. This is acheived by organising a series of fundraising events throughout the yearfor the people of Dalbeattie, the surrounding area, and for visitors and ex-pats alike, leading to a week of Civic festivities in early-mid August, ending with a 'Civic Day' of events. Members of the Dalbeattie Civic Daze Committee regularly assist other groups in the town to fulfill their objectives by volunteering manpower or loan of equipment.

Objectives: The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: to provide recreational facilities or assist in the provision of facilities for the inhabitants of Dalbeattie and its environs, in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved.
