We are primarily focused on providing activities for children and young people but do so in a way which promotes awareness of other generations and community cohesion. We provide opportunities for adult volunteers and also have a young leadership scehme for younger volunteers. Volunteering opportunities are provided in our groups and activities and also in our Wee Shop and Refill Centre
Objectives: Purposes 4.The organisation's purposes are: to foster relationships, mutual understanding, and shared activities among people of all ages within Gatehouse of Fleet and the surrounding area The objectives of the organisation are: 4.1 To provide a range of opportunities for intergenerational practice in order to bring people of all ages together in purposeful, mutually beneficial activities which promote greater understanding and respect between generations and contributes to building a more cohesive local community 4.2 To challenge ageist stereotypes and reduce loneliness and isolation across all generations 4.3 To support and empower children and young people to become achieving adults and help them establish and maintain safe and appropriate relationships. 4.4 To encourage children and young people to recognise their position and relationship with the local community and, through this, with the wider national and international community 4.5 To create opportunities for the exchange of skills, knowledge, and wisdom between younger and older people 4.6 To provide a range of recreational activities for different age groups which contribute to good general health and encourage self-esteem, personal reliance, perseverance and team working skills. 4.7 To work collaboratively with other community organizations, local agencies, and businesses to improve the quality of life for all residents. 4.8To ensure that all activities are planned and delivered in a safe, inclusive, and culturally aware manner
