The purpose of IAERC, which is a not for profit organisation, is to provide advice and advocacy service for the Inverclyde Community. The Board members are all from the Inverclyde Community. The organisation deals with all members of the Inverclyde Community who seek our services in relation to matters arising from work, past or present. We assist those in need, many of them Disabled or experiencing Inequalities, and by advising or advocating, enhance the quality of their lives and the lives of their families and the Community at large. The Centre provides a drop in service and an advocacy service open to all in the Community. The aim of the Charity is to ensure that the local Community access their rights, retain their employment and access justice should the need arise.

Objectives: To advance education, particularly among the residents of Inverclyde ('the Operating Area'), within the fields of welfare rights, employment law and associated fields. To relieve poverty, particularly among, residents of the Operating Area. To relieve those who are in need by reason of mental andlor physical disability, learning disability, illness or impairment. To advance citizenship and community development through encouraging, stimulating and supporting volunteering, principally in the Operating Area. To promote equality and diversity through working towards the elimination of discrimination (whether on the grounds of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, social status or otherwise), and through promoting and supporting equality of opportunity for all residents of the Operating Area irrespective of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or social status. To promote religious or racial harmony between peoples of different ethnic, racial, social, religious and other groups within the framework of a multi-racial and inclusive society. To promote, establish, operate andlor support other similar projects and programmes which further charitable purposes for the benefit of the community within the Operating Area.
