Objectives: To relieve the suffering and distress of, further the health of, advance the education of and promote the care of persons in Inverclyde who are community care users, carers or providers, and, in particular through:- (a) Developing information and advice systems relevant to care in the c community (b) Encouraging the development of new services to vulnerable clients and their carers (c) Supporting local initiatives on community care (d) Participating in the monitoring and evaluation of existing services ( e) Liaising with national organisations, statutory agencies and others, when appropriate, to promote care in the community (f) Enabling users of community care services and their carers to exercise their right to a say in decisions which affect their lives, by enabling their voice to be heard in the planning and provision of services (g) keeping local people informed of both local and national policies in relation to community care
