Tiddlywinks has one session weekly lasting two hours. The chlld or children come with parent, grand-parent or other responsible adult, occasionally a child minder, to the group. The purpose is to generate stimulation for the little ones and provide company and inter-action for the adult. Through good quality toys there is an opportunity to learn through play by virtue of basic jigsaws and simple craft activities. On alternate weeks there is a music time which is much enjoyed by the children (helped by the adult accompanying them also participating) when they learn the actions to simple songs/nursery rhymes. It is a joy to witness how quickly the children learn the actions.

Objectives: The aims of the group are to promote the care and education of babies and children up to the age of five by providing an environment which advances their education and social development and encourages the involvement of parents and other appropriate persons in line with the aims of SPPA
