Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'
We work in partnership with communities to save historic places of worship where they are at risk through sale, disuse, or decay, and to create strong, sustainable community assets at are valued, cared for and bring local benefit. We do this by taking into our own care and ownership a small number of irreplaceable nationally important places of worship that are no longer in use, and by repairing and conserving them and providing free public access for all. We also support communities taking ownership of their own local place of worship. We value partnerships at a local, regional and national level, and work to make Scotland’s places of worship better valued, used, and maintained – and, when regular worship ceases, to give them their best ‘next life’.
Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'
Objectives: 3. The charity's objects are to conserve historic church buildings in Scotland for and with communities, and for the benefit of all. (the 'Objects').
