Last October our lttal band, the Rinnes Rollers offered lo r8i8e mu¢fvneedod b)Jnds for the holding a Music nighl. The night was a huge success and we realised there vras a gap in Ic1 enlert8inment that might be filled by Edinvillie. We already had a PPL and PRS - licenses f perfomiing rightPr bul had to get 8 Public EnlertsinffnI Licen from Moray Council. This enlailed Police checks, event 8afety plan5. r18k 888es$nnts, fire Safety inspections, proof of liabilty Insurance, and anatysis of the privale waler supply. The UV slerili8er and filter have been checked annually by the fimi which Inrtialty Instslled them. However, Mor8y Coun mi518kenty thought that we were on mains water so no longer tested the w8teT annually 88 IW are legalty required lo do. We were restored to Iheir list but failed lesling. We carried out all the prdLIfeS they advised but failed 8gain. Since a m8ins water FNpeline runs alongside the H grounds we decided lo connect to Sccrttish Wef. The ¢onne¢tbon eventualty look place in September. Edinvillie Music Nights have proved to be extremety wpular. To date have held four, of completety different genres. and ore already planning thè programme for nexl yeaf. Follong the trendoUS success of our Royal tea parties in 2022 and 2023 we decided to another lo celebrate the 65th anniversary of Ihe (4)ening of Edinvillie Hall. The afternoon was compèred by 11 by ublic old
television and radio fame. and the highlight for many people was a vi511 from the Lord Lieuten Mofay. The anniversary cake was cut by iwo daughters ol the Chair 1959 and who had been instrumental in the building of the Hall. Regular Pilates and circurt training classes, both run by Edinvillie locals. are held each week. the Craft Club. The Hall is still used each rnth foi HGV training days, and this year ha5 S several other functions from baby showers and parties for all age ranges. lo funeral leas and in aid of charity. As usual we held Halloween and Christmas parties for all the Pre-school and Primary children Edinvillie and an appreciable amount of our fund-raising goes towards these. They are beco legendary as many of the parents have never experienced old-fashioned children's parties. S 18 t8lk ing ECHC is also involved in the wider community with represenlalives attending the Moray Federation of Cornmunity Halls and As5cciations, the Spey5ide Council, the Speyside Forum the Moray Community Resilience Gri)up. As beneficiaries of Paul's Hill Windfam we attend Iheir AGM and subsequently had usefvl meetings wrth their representatives. We have also ta part in ZoK)m meetings and Community Consuftations. We h8ve a good relationship with our neighbouring Aberlour Community Association who loaned us us their communty lents for th Anniversary paty. We have continued lo upgr8de the Hall rtself. The Committee Room and entrance hall have redecorated and the entrance hall, the Ladie% abled toilets h8ve had new flooring in51alled.
