The objectives of the band, as set out in its own constitution, is to encourage piping and drumming within the community of Dornoch. to provide teaching and coaching, in particular for young people in piping, chanter and drumming for the entertainment of the public and to foster an appreciation of the arts
Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'
Objectives: (a) to advance and encourage piping and drumming in the Royal Burgh of Dornoch and the surrounding area (note: at a later stage the Constitution speaks of 'the area served by the Band.') (b) to provide coaching and teaching, particularly for young people, in chanter, piping and drumming, and (c) to arrange programmes of piping and drumming for the Non-playing members may be appointed at the discretion of the Band Management Committee and will be subject to a fee. entertainment of the public and to foster appreciation of these arts.
