Activities
The main objective of the charity is to provide education based on the principles of Waldorf Education.The charity runs the York Steiner School for pupils aged 3 - 16 yrs old. It also runs Parent & Child groups and offers adult education.
Objects: 2. Objects The Charity's objects (Objects) are for the benefit of the public generally in the United Kingdom and, in particular, the inhabitants of York, North Yorkshire and its surrounding areas:2.1 to advance the education of the public, in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing by:2.1.1 establishing, maintaining, carrying on, managing and developing:2.1.1.1 a charitable play or nursery school or schools;2.1.1.2 a school or college or schools or colleges to provide for all phases of education; and2.1.1.3 facilities for adult and community education;in or near the City of York in accordance with the educational principles of the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship and such other principles as the Trustees shall from time to time determine;2.1.2 promoting and assisting with the training of teachers in accordance with the principles referred to in Article 2.1.1;2.1.3 providing transport in order to assist pupils’ attendance at the establishments referred to in Article 2.1.1;2.2 for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other exclusively charitable purposes in each case as the Trustees may from time to time decide (provided that the Charity exists only for purposes which are both charitable and educational and nothing shall be an object of the Charity which is not both a charitable and educational object).
