The Bibliographical Society promotes and encourages study and research in historical, analytical, descriptive and textual bibliography, the making and use of manuscripts, the history of printing, publishing and illustration, the history of bookbinding, the history of the book, as well as the history of libraries, provenance, readership, and book collecting.

Objects: To Promote And Encourage Bibliographical Studies And In Particular (A) To Print And Publish Works Concerned With Bibliography, Particularly Those Which Are Not Likely To Be Commercially Profitable. (B) To Maintain A Bibliographical Library, (C) To Hold Meetings At Which Papers Are Read And Discussed.
