Our main areas of activity are the provision of advice and support services for the voluntary and community sector; outreach work with community groups and individuals; assistance and advice services for volunteers; health and well-being initiatives for disadvantaged and/or isolated people; assistance for local communities in developing initiatives that help to sustain their communities.
Objects: To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of County Durham And The Surrounding Areas Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions, By Associating Together The Said Inhabitants And The Statutory Authorities, Voluntary And Other Organisations In A Common Effort To Advance The Welfare Of The Said Inhabitants With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life, Through Any Or All Of The Following: (a) The Relief Of Poverty; (b) The Advancement Of Education; (c) The Advancement Of Health (d) The Relief Of Unemployment; (e) The Promotion Of Urban And Rural Regeneration; (f) Such Other Charitable Purposes As May From Time To Time Be Determined. The Charity Shall Be Non-Party Political And Non-Sectarian In Religion.
