Objects: Objectsthe Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Public Benefit, To 1. Promote The Efficiency Of The Emergency Services Of The UK, By Amongst Other Things, Providing Support And Guidance To Emergencyservices Personnel Who Have Been Injured Or Suffer A Long-Term Illness During His/her Service; 2. To Relieve The Needs Of Family Members Of The Emergency Services Of The United Kingdom Whose Mental And/or Physical Health Has Been Clinically Affected By Trauma As A Result Of Injuries Sustained During Service.for The Purposes Of These Objects, The Term 'Emergency Services Personnel' Means:i) Serving Members Of The Police (Including Support Staff, Detention Officers, Investigation Officers, Special Constables And Police Community Support Officers); Orii) Serving Members Of Fire, Ambulance And Rescue Services Personnel (Together "Eligible Personnel");with Preference To Be Given By The Trustees To Members Of The Police Service; Andthe Term "Family" Of Eligible Personnel Includes, But Shall Not Necessarily Be Limited To:iii) A Spouse, Civil Partner, A Son Or Daughter Under 25 Years Of Age;iv) A Person Who Is Over 25 Years Old And Who Is Still Financially Dependant On Their Parent Or Stepparent.
