Activities

Operation Spitfire was established to ensure the refurbishment and maintenance of the Spitfire in the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. The Charity operates an extensive education programme to promote STEM subjects and engineering in general.

Objects: 1. To Advance In Life And Help Children And Young People At Primary And Secondary Schools (Primarily Key Stage 2, 3 And 4 Pupils) Through:(a) The Provision Of Recreational And Leisure Time Activities Provided In The Interest Of Social Welfare, Designed To Improve Their Conditions Of Life.(b) Providing Support And Activities Which Develop Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Mature And Responsible Individuals.’(c) Advancing Education.2. For The Public Benefit, To Advance The Education In The Fields Of Aeronautical Engineering, Primarily Through Assisting In The Provision Of Projects, Materials And Experiences Including Practical Skills Development To Aeronautical Engineering Undergraduates & Technicians.
